Florida provider Baptist Health excludes Medicaid, exchange patients

The Miami Herald reports Baptist Health is enjoying tax exempt-status and raking in millions as it makes its network unavailable to many low-and middle-income patients. Most of the Miami-Dade health plans sold on healthcare.gov don't include Baptist's vast network and it accepts two of the county's nine Medicaid plans. This means about 400,000 in the county are shut out of the network, according to the Herald
