
DUSHKA CRANE, PH.D., is a developmental psychologist with expertise in behavioral health services research and quality improvement.
She currently serves as the Director of Healthcare Integration with responsibility for engaging faculty and staff from Ohio’s colleges of medicine and public universities with healthcare leaders in quality improvement activities and research aimed at improving Ohio’s health and human service systems.
She also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Crane previously held, over a period of fifteen years, a series of research, policy, and leadership positions with the Ohio Department of Mental Health. She served as the Director of Quality Improvement for the Ohio Department of Mental Health, where she led the Department’s QI programs in Ohio’s inpatient and community mental health service systems and directed efforts to promote and evaluate evidence-based practice and workforce development initiatives.
Dr. Crane has published in a variety of peer reviewed academic journals on topics including behavioral health needs assessment, consumer engagement, and the impact of healthcare policy and financing on mental health services and consumer outcomes. She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her masters and doctoral degrees in developmental psychology from Bowling Green State University.
